NGSA Weekly Newsletter

Hey snurses!

Are you starting to feel the heat of the end of the semester – or maybe today’s abnormally hight 11°C temperature for the end of November? Personally, I just cannot wait for the Holidays, it’s been a really busy semester (aren’t they all?!!) If you’re struggling with work-life balance right now, as most grad students are, well you would have benefitted from this week’s MDNC Meeting, special thanks to Dr. Anita Gagnon and Dr. Carmen Loiselle. I had a great time! And if you did not attend, well you missed a very interesting discussion on the topic.

In the meantime, this week was a rich week for the NGSA: we received new couches for the Research Unit, moved a lot of things around, and did a thorough clean-up. Your RU is now pretty snazzy looking (see pictures in the student-space section of the website) and a comfy study space to chill out, get some work done, or simply network with your colleagues. We’ve seen quite a few new faces in there this week, don’t be shy to come visit us at any time.

Alright, enough of my little updates. Without further ado, here is the third issue of our weekly NGSA newsletter. Enjoy the reading and I’ll get back to you next week!

Have a wonderful weekend!
On behalf of your NGSA,
Maxim (VP-Comm)

All are welcome to attend!

4 – Accidental PhD Exclusion on Flu-shot Survey

It has come to the NGSAs attention that the program option of PhD/Post Doctorate was not included on the survey recently sent out to all NGSA members concerning a potential upcoming flu-shot clinic to be held in Wilson Hall.  We want to send our sincerest apologies for this inadvertent error.  In no way did we mean to exclude the PhD Cohort from this opportunity.  In the transition to the NGSA we are continuing to sort out our communication strategies, and are striving for inclusion of all members!
