Speed Nursing 2013-14, 5th annual edition

Speed Nursing is the place to share your passion for your nursing specialty with current nursing students to inspire them with what your experience can teach them and attract them to work in the specific nursing setting you work in. The soon to be nurses (nursing students) are looking into different areas to work and with so many options for new nurses to choose, you can help these students find the lighted path.

How does it work? Nurses will be paired up with a group of nursing students, and every 6 minutes more or less, the bell rings and a new group of nursing students will be coming to speak with you, the groups of students will be traveling from one nurse to the next until they have went around.

This year, to shake things up, if we have enough students and nurses, we will try a one on one rotation of student and nurse.

To accompany this intense experience will be great food 30 minutes before the start of the event, where you will be able to gather all the energy you need to spend approximately an amazing hour with different students who wants to learn more about what you do. There will be breaks during the event for both the nurses and the students to grab some more food and non-alcoholic drinks.

This year our much anticipated yearly Speed Nursing event will be held at on November 21 2013 at 18:00 at the
Brown Student Services Building in Room 5001, on McTavish. If needed, although a little far away, cheaper flat rate parking is available in 2020 University for a flat rate of 5$ after 16:00.

You are all welcome to come by to be one of our nurses who will be sharing their knowledge and stories with the students. Come join us for some great food, great company and great time. Please RSVP by emailing or select “Attend” on Facebook to help us order enough food for everyone. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to email us.

Please note that this event is FREE of charge to everyone who is coming. Feel free to invite your friends to come.
